Looks like Lindsay Lohan’s attempt to finally be on the other side of the courtroom is not working out too well.
Rapper Pitbull has just announced that he will be suing Lindsay in response to the suit she filed against him in August over lyrics from his hit “Give Me Everything”.
The specific lyric in question is, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan” to which Lindsay and everyone else took as a reference to her previous scuffles with the law.
Lindsay was appalled at this reference and sued Pitbull for using her name and essentially besmirching her character.
Right, it’s the song that’s given her a bad reputation. When Pitbull got wind that he was being sued over his song lyric, he reached out to Lindsay with a public apology.
He claimed that the lyric was not at all intended to be a reference to her jail time; instead it was a compliment on her ability to keep control over everything in her life.
Now everything has had some time to sink in, Pitbull has decided to counter sue Lindsay, stating (and with reason) that Lohan’s recent “adventures” have only proved the lyric, which he now says is definitely about Lindsay being physically locked up.
Among refuting Lindsay’s claims that she is of “good repute” he also is now seeking to have the case transferred from New York to a federal court, where he believes he will have a better chance of winning the lawsuit.
Lindsay originally filed her lawsuit in New York, claiming that she was a resident of Nassau County.
Not to be soft spoken, Pitbull called her out as a resident of California, and in support of his claims, he referenced every one of Lindsay’s legal altercations: the multiple lockups, the house arrest, bangstyle.com Pitbull Lindsay Lohan lawsuit Give Me Everything entertainment Pitbull Suing Lindsay Lohan For Suing Himvolunteering at the morgue, her problems with the Woman’s Center, and all of the community service she is supposed to be completing – all of which are in California.
“Thus, in light of Ms. Lohan’s continuing obligations to the State of California, as well as the foregoing facts, Ms. Lohan is a citizen of California, not New York,” he said.
Pitbull went on to point out that any damage to Lohan’s reputation was caused by her own actions and not by any influence from a song.
If he ever runs out of Spanish phrases to turn into hit singles, he could have a future as a lawyer.Pitbull actually has a point.
Regardless of what his original meaning behind the lyric is, it’s definitely true now and there are 5 mug shots to back it up.
Maybe Lindsay should come to her senses and stop singlehandedly ruining her reputation instead of worrying about how other people are “slandering” her.
